Name the real constraint

Research becomes valuable when it clarifies the constraint: time, trust, access, cost, or a missing capability. The constraint tells you what to build first.

Design the smallest complete loop

A thin vertical loop—input, decision, action, feedback—usually teaches more than a broad demo. It gives teams something real to observe and improve.

Operationalize the learning

A capability is not finished when the prototype works. It needs ownership, measurement, access rules, and a maintenance path that survives the first version.
